Let Hope Rise Campaign

Let Hope Rise Campaign

Let Hope Rise

To promote Easter services in 2019, Bayside’s Creative Team created a campaign to share the good news of Jesus and celebrate stories of hope to inspire our community. Our goal was to fill Easter services at all 8 Bayside campuses by marketing externally to the community and mobilizing the congregants at Bayside Church to invite their friends and family. For this project, I worked with the management team to create the story at a high level, crafted the messaging of the campaign, directed channel strategy, and oversaw content creation.

Operating under the idea that “good news,” especially the Gospel, has life-transforming power, the creative direction for the campaign, “Let Hope Rise,” was a newspaper. We even took on the challenge of creating an actual newspaper. We had it printed locally to be used in marketing photography and videography and as a real publication for the congregation to enjoy. I coordinated a team of writers, wrote several pieces myself, and directed the layout of the piece. We wrote accounts from the New Testament in the Bible as if they were modern-day accounts, shared stories of life transformation from those in the Bayside congregation, and even had classifieds, puzzles, and other fun newspaper staple.

I also wrote the script for the campaign video, which was produced by Jordan McQueen, and all photography and design were beautifully executed by Kira Bautista. Click on the images below and you’ll find the campaign briefs, one of the articles I wrote, and the full newspaper itself.
